π SHORT & SWEET: If you can't decide on a flavor to try, vanilla is always a great choice. Flavor may seem simple at first, however it's beautifully complex. Sweet, creamy, and toasty vanilla that warms your taste buds and soul. (Great way to combat this winter lol!) βοΈπ¦
π STORY: I visited Morgenstern's initially to try their Red Panda Cone, and then discovered at the cash register it is only available on that one special day, Valentine's Day! Welllll I am not 100% positive I will be able to make my way down to Morgenstern's this coming Tuesday just to try this red panda, so we will see.
I actually became flustered for a few seconds since I didn't have a backup ice cream plan. I also became suddenly warm since the shop had their heater turned up high, AND I was wearing my puffy winter coat. Looking up I had to refocus my eyes on the menu π I then stuttered out "Vanilla....Madagascar Vanilla!". Because why not.
I waited about 10 minutes for my cone, and I noticed the server called out "Ooooone scoop of Madagascar Vanillaaa!" instead of yelling out my name. All the 5+ people ahead of me had been called out by name, and I was being labeled as Madgascar Vanilla :P But then again, I did notice the people ahead of me had cones with multiple flavors, while I just had the one.
π THOUGHTS: And my one scoop was beautiful! It looked amazing, as it was a beautiful sphere of ice cream. The color of this vanilla was pure white with specks (otherwise known as vanilla bean seeds or even caviar!) arrayed across this vanilla globe.
The look of this ice cream was simple, yet elegant. And on first bite? YUM.
Madagascar vanilla is the most common type of vanilla, and I see why - it has the highest content of vanillin and was creamy, sweet (but not too sweet), and toasty! Each bite had a toastiness to it that felt warm and reassuring to the taste buds... and my soul.
ENCORE: Yes! I would definitely visit Morgenstern's again just to eat Madagascar Vanilla! And of course to try all the other flavors.
