STORY: When we were given the menu for Saturday brunch, I skimmed it over quickly and my eyes found the dessert section - and organic ice cream was on there!
However, flavors were not listed so I asked our hostess. I discovered upon asking there were two flavors available, Brown Sugar Oats and Earl Grey Fudge. Mmm! Definitely yes.
Brunch came, and we dug in (Good Morning Sunshine and Pernil Romero sandwiches), and then it was time for dessert!
THOUGHTS: The ice cream scoops were provided in a disposable paper cup (I found this surprising - perhaps the plates and dishes were to be saved for non-dessert items, as there was a LOT of people eating in this restaurant). Earl Grey Fudge on top and Brown Sugar Oats on the bottom.
π¦Earl Grey Fudge - I LOVED this flavor. It was creamy, smooth, and absolutely delicious. The scent and taste of earl grey was just right. Taste and texture melded beautifully together. I am curious to eat actual earl grey fudge, recipes anyone?
π¦Brown Sugar Oats - I'm not sure what I was expecting from this flavor but it did taste like oatmeal! There was a tiny hint of brown sugar too which I would have liked to taste more of.
I did some quick research on MILK SUGAR LOVE, who provided the ice cream. They are a Jersey City-based artisan ice cream shop, and ranked in the top ten ice creameries in Jersey City! I would love to visit them if I get the chance to visit Jersey City, MILK SUGAR LOVE's menu of ice cream flavors are extremely creative.
ENCORE: Visit the Wild Son if you are hankering for a delicious brunch place, and would love to eat organic ice cream for dessert!
